Egg Attack on Naveen Patnaik’s Car stuns BJD Government

For the first time in 15 years, Odisha CM Naven Patnaik went to Utkal University as a Chief Guest. It was possible only after he breached that fortress and inducted all top Student Congress leaders into the party fold.

However, his journey was not a smooth one. He faced unprecedented protests on the way. Yes, there was a major security breach, as Youth Congress and student Congress leaders appeared from nowhere and tried to block Naveen Patnaik’s convoy near the Keshari Talkies.

Some Congress workers were seen throwing eggs at Naveen Patnaik’s car, which missed the target. The windows of the car were closed too. Black flags were shown to the CM. the police resorted to mild lathicharge to disperse the mob.

A probe has been ordered into the incident. Police Commissioner RP Sharma admitted partial intelligence failure and asked his officers to probe the matter. At least five people have been arrested so far in connection with the attack. The police conducted a search operation at senior Congress leader Lulu Mohapatra’s residence.
