EKAMRA Plan rehabilitation by Odisha government

Odisha government has declared rehabilitation and resettlement package for persons/institutions affected by the beautification & developmental works being carried out around Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar under the ‘Ekamra Kshetra Amenities and Monuments Revival Action (EKAMRA) Plan’.

A statement of the Chief Minister’s Office stated that more than 65 acres surrounding Lingaraj temple and Bindu Sagar would be pedestrianised and conveniences for pilgrims and tourists will be created, due to which all residential units and commercial establishments having a clear title of land will be procured through direct purchase. Subsequently, the fee shall be paid as per Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, R&R Act, 2013.

The government will give a relocation grant of Rs 1 lakh per family towards charges related to transportation. As far as the rental pay is involved, each family shall be granted Rs 15,000 per month for 12 months from the date of procurement of property. Notably, every residential unit owner shall be paid Rs 20 lakh as one-time resettlement allowance.
