Entry fee of Konark Sun Temple hiked to Rs 40 for Domestic Tourists

ONI Bureau: The members of Konark Surakhya Samiti on Wednesday locked the ticket counter at the world-famous Sun Temple in Konark, protesting increase in entry fee.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) increased the entry fee for the Sun temple from Rs 30 to Rs 40 for domestic tourists and from Rs 500 to Rs 600 for foreign tourists.

It is to be noted that, in 2016, the ASI authorities had raised the entry fee to the Konark temple to Rs 30 from existing Rs 10 and Rs 250 to Rs 500 for foreign visitors.
