Etv News Odia completes 1 Year, holds Anniversary Celebrations

The Etv News Odia TV Channel took a big leap forward on 9th May, 2016, as it completed one year of its operation from the soil of Odisha. The channel held its first anniversary celebration yesterday and vowed to continue to serve the people of the state with a focus on development and justice.

The anniversary celebrations were held in two parts. In the first leg during the day time, a workshop was held at the Press Club of Orissa premises. It got the title of “Reporters’ Stringers’ & News Informers’ Workshop-2016”. Shri Jagdish Chandra, Head of Etv News Network, Dr. Meena Sharma, Executive Editor of Etv News Network and Shri Bhakta Tripathy, Editor/Channel Head of Etv News Odia, attended the workshop and addressed the gathering.

The Speakers focused on the journalistic ethics, fulfilling the need of the common people and fighting against injustice without any fear or bias. They hoped that Etv News Odia would continue to strive hard and rule the hearts of its viewers.

Later in the evening at Swosti Premium, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, Union P&NG Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Patasani attended the anniversary celebrations. Shri Jagdish Chandra, Head of Etv News Network was also present at the occasion.

“The Newspapers and TV Channels must play a constructive role in building the society. The media should become the voice of all sections of the society. At times, the positive roles played by the media help the state to develop and grow further,” said CM Naveen Patnaik.

“Etv Network has established itself as a milestone in media world. It has been able to spread the right message among its viewers and cover all small and big events across the country. I am sure Etv would play a positive role in Odisha’s development,” said Shri Jagdish Chandra.
