Fabrics from Odisha Jail receive ‘Handloom Mark’

The Ministry of Textiles have awarded ‘Handloom Mark’ certificate to the Cotton fabrics produced by inmates of Sambalpur jail.

The inmates at the Sambalpur circle jail produce handwoven cotton fabrics such as cotton towels, bed sheets, handkerchiefs and other products.

The products are then collected from the jail stall and sent to Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS) to be marketed.

This tag will definitely garner publicity for the jail fabrics and help reach a wider mass.
