Fake Rs. 2,000 Note seized; 1 Youth held in Jharsuguda

fake-rs-2000-notes-seized-1-youth-held-in-jharsugudaJharsuguda Police have detained a youth for allegedly circulating fake currency of Rs 2000 denomination on Sunday night in Jharsuguda.

According to reports, a youth filled petrol in his bike last evening at Sunarimunda and given a Rs 2000 note at petrol pump.

Suspected the note as fake, the employee reported the matter to the owner, who found it fake. Later the owner informed the matter to the police. The police took the youth to custody and are now investigating the matter.

The youth was identified as Madhusudan Meher of Bhasma area in Sundargarh district, working as a diploma engineer in a steel company in the district.
