Famous Dhanu Jatra concludes in Bargarh

ONI Bureau:  The world famous Dhanu Jatra of Bargarh in Odisha ended on Tuesday night with an open stage Pandal playing death of king kansa at the hands of lords Krishna and Balaram.

During the 11-day festival that kicked off on December 23, Bargarh town was transformed into Mathura while Amapali, a village near Bargarh, becomes Gopapur. The Jeera river, which separates the two places, becomes the Yamuna.

Thousands of people from Odisha and out side the state have witnessed at the cultural centre.
