Fire breaks out in SUM Hospital; 21 Dead, many Injured

At least 21 persons died after a major fire broke out at Institute of Medical Sciences & Sum Hospital in Bhubaneswar on Monday evening.

Sources said that, the fire was first came from the dialysis OT and spreading to the ICU and a ward.

As many as 7 fire tending vehicles and thirteen 108 ambulances were deployed to shift the patients to other medicals.

Notably, over 106 patients are being treated at Capital Hospital, AIIMS, KIMS, SCB, Vivekanand and AMRI Hospital in Bhubaneswar, and SCB Hospital in Cuttack.
