Fire Destroys over 200 Houses in Odisha

Atleast 200 houses were gutted in fire in separate incidents in the State on Monday. But No loss of life has been reported.

Around 110 houses were reduced due to fire in Jhankarpada village in Boudh district, after forest fire spread to the village.

As many as 55 thatched houses were completely destroyed in Rangpur village in Sonepur district. While reason behind the mishap was not found, it is suspected that the fire broke out from kitchen.

In another incident, nearly 50 houses were gutted in Harachua village under Gandia block of Dhenkanal district.

District administration officials arranged drinking water and food for villagers.
