FIRs filed against 4 Congress MLAs from Koraput District

Bhubaneswar, Oct 2:  Complaints have been lodged against four Congress MLAs of Koraput district including Jeypore MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati over the Koraput Zilla Parishad meeting issues.

Addressing to media persons at a press conference, Bahinipati on Thursday said that the allegations made against him and other Congress MLAs over the meeting issues were baseless and fabricated. Laxmipur MLA Kailash Chandra Kulesika said in the conference that he would file a defamation case against those complainants.

It is noteworthy that, the incident took place at the Koraput Zilla Parishad meeting on September 23.  Alleging the MLAs of creating pandemonium, abusing ST/SC officials and damaging official assets, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Malati Majhi had filed FIR on September 29. Bahinipati raised question over the delay in filing the FIR by the Zilla Parishad Chairperson.
