‘First Level Checking’ of EVMs, VVPAT to begin today

ONI Bureau:  As the next General Elections in India will be held early next year and the State Election Commission (SEC) is gearing up to ensure a smooth election, the first level checking (FLC) of Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) will commence today.

Two master trainers from Election Commission of India will impart training on the use of EVM and VVPAT during a meeting of district collectors chaired by Chief Electoral Officer Surendra Kumar today.

A detailed power point presentation on FLC with technical information such as function check, data update and symbol loading will be shared with them.

As per report, voters’ list rectification process is scheduled to begin tomorrow and the FLC will continue for two months.
