First Swine Flu case of the season reported in Odisha

ONI Bureau:  The first swine flu case of the season was reported on Sunday in Odisha after the sample of a woman tested positive for H1N1 virus at Nachuni area in Khurda district.

Reportedly, a 23 year old woman was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar with complaint of cold and cough, where her swab sample reportedly confirmed the infection. She has been put under treatment while her family members were also asked to undergo tests as the infection is contagious.

Swine Flu symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, chills, weakness and body aches. Typical treatment of the disease includes rest, pain relievers and fluids.
