Fitment Committee starts hearing on 7th Pay Commission Recommendations

The fitment committee formed by the State Government for the preparation of guidelines for the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendations started its hearing following the demands of Government employees’ associations.

The hearing will continue till November 23 in six working days and the committee will submit its report in four months.

Earlier, the Odisha Government announced to implement the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission which will benefit about four lakh state government employees and more than three lakh pensioners.

The implementation of panel will cost 5,500 crore on the state exchequer annually.
