Former Chairman of Buguda NAC shot dead in Odisha’s Berhampur

Berhampur, Nov 24: In a gruesome incident, former Chairman of Buguda NAC, Balkrushna Patra shot dead on Tuesday in here. Panic gripped in the city following the murder of the leader.

As per reports, two unidentified miscreants open fired at Patra near Adipur Street in the city. He was on the way to his home when he was attacked. Miscreants managed to flee from there after killing the leader leaving their bike at the spot.

After getting information about the firing in the city, police rushed to the spot and started investigation into the murder case of the former NAC Chairman.

Local people said, Patra sustained two bullet injuries on his head and died on spot. However, the reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.
