Former Minister Raghunath Patnaik passes away at 89

Former Minister and Senior Congress leader Raghunath Patnaik passed away following a cardiac arrest at the age of 89. He felt troubles in breathing and was admitted in a private hospital. He breathed his last this morning.

Raghunath Patnaik who was an inspirational leader was elected six times to Odisha Assembly from Jeypore constituency and held in important roles like Finance and Law at the time of JB Patnaik who led the Congress government.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, BJP State President Basanta Panda and PCC President Prashad Harichandan had condoled the death of Raghunath Patnaik.
