Former Odisha CM Giridhar Gamang all set to join the BJP

Veteran tribal leader, nine-time Lok Sabha MP from Koraput, former Union Minister and Ex Odisha Chief Minister Giridhar Gamang, is all set to the join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Gamang, along with his son Shishir Gamang, is going to Delhi to finalize the joining.

According to sources, Giridhar Gamang and his son held all formal discussions with the state BJP leaders, including state unit President KV Singhdeo. The central leaders have already approved their inclusion into the BJP.

It is believed that Giridhar Gamang will hold discussions with BJP President Amit Shah and other Union Ministers and a ceremony could be held to announce their entry into the BJP fold. It is not immediately known whether there is any plan of a meeting between Dr. Gamang and PM Narendra Modi or not.
