Former Odisha MLA and Freedom Fighter Sribatsa Nayak passes away

Freedom fighter, journalist and former Odisha MLA Sribatsa Nayak passed away following prolonged illness. He is survived by his wife and an adopted daughter.

Nayak was a renowned journalist and wrote several books. He was also associated with Gandhi Peace Foundation Centre and has been a close associate of late Nandini Satpathy.

Sribatsa Nayak worked for the upliftment of tribals. He was elected from Gondia constituency in Dhenkanal district during 1974-1977.
