Four candidates file nomination papers for CMC by-poll

Four candidates on Wednesday, filed their nomination papers for the June 3 by-poll in Ward no-21 of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC).

Notably, Congress announced Gouri Das, a practicing lawyer of the Orissa High Court, as its candidate, while the BJP has named Padmini Behera.

BJD candidate Tulasi Behera and Independent candidate Bharati Behera also filed their nominations at the office of the Additional District Magistrate.

There are six booths in Ward no-21. Verification of nominations will be on May 20 and withdrawal of nominations on May 23.
