Four Persons Arrested In Twin City In Connection With Fake Cough Syrup Supply

On Tuesday, four persons identified as SK Azharudhin, Vicky, Kuna and Ajay Agarwal all belonging to Cuttack were arrested for supplying fake cough syrups. Police seized 26,500 cough syrup bottles them.
As per reports, following a tip off, Police arrested a boy coming from Cuttack to supply cough syrup in Bhubaneswar in the Kalpana area.
After the capture, Police seized 26,500 bottles of cough syrup each containing 100 ml syrup and 200 mg of codeine, a narcotic drug. Also, three scooters and one mobile phone were captured from the accused.
Based on the information provided by the accused, police conducted a raid at Nandisahi in Cuttack and arrested three others and seized the rest of the bottles from them.

A case was registered and all the arrested persons were forwarded to court.
