Four Workers injured in Rourkela Steel Plant Blast

Rourkela, Sep 30: Four workers were critically sustained burn injured in blast at Rourkela Steel Plant on Tuesday. According to reports, the explosion took place at the Blast Furnace-5 at 6:30 pm. Soon after the explosion, other workers rushed to spot and rescued the victims, those later rushed to Ispat General Hospital’s Burn Centre.

The conditions of the injured workers are said to be critical as they sustained 40 to 45% burn injuries. The injured — Meghanad Dandia, Sriram Anil, Siblal Kachhap and Satyajit Solapur –worked for Biswal Enterprises, a consultancy agency.
