Gana Sikshaks gherao 6 Ministers’ Residences over Regularisation of Jobs

Hundreds of Gana Sikhyakas on Tuesday under the banner of Odisha Gana Sikshak Mahasanga staged dharna and gheraoed the official houses of six Ministers in the Capital city demanding regularisation of their jobs.

They protested outside the residence of School and Mass Education Minister Debi Mishra, law Minister Arun Sahoo, Energy Minister Pranab Prakash Das, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Kumar Dasburma and Finance Minister Pradeep Amat.

In this connection, police have arrested many Gana Sikhyak teachers.

The agitating teachers alleged that though the state government had issued a notification for regularization of jobs of Gana Sikhyakas, modalities for the same has not been framed yet.
