Gangster Sk Hyder Killed in Police Encounter

Gangster SK Hyder who was shot in police encounter, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment in Balasore District Hospital. The dreaded gangster was being shifted to Baripada jail from Choudhwar jail.

As per information provided by Saumendra Priyadarshi, twin city Police Commissioner, the vehicle had stopped in Simulia in Balasore district for Hyder to attend nature’s call. As he stepped out, he snatched a gun from a member of an escort team and tried to escape.

“The escort team had to engage in a controlled gunfire to prevent the escape. But he was shot and immediately shifted to the district headquarter hospital,” said Police Commissioner.

Hyder succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment.

In April last year, he had escaped while undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital.
