Girls leave Hostel in Odisha after Official takes Nude Pictures

As many as 60 girl students left a school hostel in Odisha accusing the school official of clicking their nude pictures. It is reported that the accountant of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (BGVB) and hostel cook  clicked nude pictures of the girls staying in the hostel at Gudiali in Ganjam district of Odisha.

Officials of the schools said that 60 of 87 total SC, ST girl students left the hostel since Tuesday. According to the school officials, all the girls went to picnic last year. During that time the accountant of the schools took their nude and semi-nude photographs. And, around 22 such pictures were recovered from his possession.

Finding such pictures, Headmistress T Arnnapurna Patra informed the district project coordinator (DPC) of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Sudam Mandal about the incident. An FIR was lodged against the accountant of the school by Chairperson of district child welfare committee SC Das. Following the incident, the accountant and cook resigned while the warden is said to be on long leave. Inspector in-charge (IIC) of Kabisurya Nagar police station, DR Patnaik said that police have registered case and investigating into the matter.
