Govt asks Collectors to release 1st Installment of PAMY Houses

Odisha-PAMY Houses Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi and Development Commissioner R. Balakrishnan on Friday held a video conferencing with the District Collectors wherein Secretary Panchyati Raj Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh outlined the issues for review.

Taking stock of the progress, Chief Secretary Padhi directed the collectors to disburse 1st installment of all PAMY houses to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts within 15th December so that the current working season can be fully utilized for completion of the houses.

Collectors were also directed to expedite disbursement funds under Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana and Nirman Sramik Pucca Ghar Yojna within a week. Chief Secretary further directed to complete all the incomplete houses by end of January, 2017.

Available data show that the sanction for the rural housing units under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana ( PAMY), Biju Pucca Ghar Yojaja (BPGY) and Nirman Sramik Pucca Ghar Yojana have been enhanced to Rs.1,30,000/- and Rs. 1,20,000/- in IAP and Non-IAP districts respectively from this year.

It was decided in the meeting that special mobility support and incentive would be given to the block staff for close follow up and quick completion of the houses. It was decided that Rs.500/- incentive would be given for completion of each house within 4 months of the issue of work order and release of 1st installment. The incentive for completion within 4 to 6 months would be Rs.300/- and for completion between 6-12 months would be Rs.100/- for each house.
