Govt declares Special Leave to Employees for ULB Poll

OdishaIn an attempt to encourage the Govt employees to cast their vote on the upcoming Urban Local Body  (ULB) Polls in various places, the Odisha Govt has decided to allow special leave for a maximum period of three days i.e on the date of poll and the previous day and following day of the poll, which is scheduled to be held on April 07, 2015.

The leave so granted would be treated as Special Casual Leave in addition to normal casual leave admissible to the employees during the calendar year 2015.

The employees working in Govt undertakings/ Boards/corporations/Apex Bodies etc would be granted paid holiday on the day of poll.

This notice has been intimated to all the District Collectors of the state to take necessary action.

Earlier, the Odisha State Election Commission has declared that General election 2015 for Paradeep, Bel pahar, Sunabeda Municipalities and Dharamgarh, Balimela, Dasapalla, Ranapur, Redhakhol and Tusura NACs will be held on April 07, 2015.
