Govt launches Mobile App for Online Tracking Status of Pollution Control Board

indexIn another step towards ‘ease of doing business in Odisha, Chief Secretary Sri Aditya Prasad Padhi along with Development Commissioner Sri R. Balakrishnan launched the mobile app for online tracking of the status of the applications submitted to Odisha Pollution Control Board by various industries and start ups.

The launching event was organized in the Secretariat Conference hall today afternoon wherein Member Secretary Odisha State Pollution Control Board Sri Rajiv Kumar briefed the features of the mobile app. Chief Secretary Sri Padhi advised them to develop this mobile app further for facilitating online payment of fees.

This app has been developed under Online Consent Monitoring and & Management System with the name OR-OCMMS A senior Engineer of OSPCB Sri Nihar Ranjan Sahoo in his reply to a media query said that this mobile app has been developed with technical support from NIC, New Delhi within a period of 2 months.

The app needs to be installed in the android mobile downloadable from Google Play Store free of cost. It is a simple and efficient single screen display. The status of the applications can be accessed or tracked using the industry Id, industry name or the district in which industry is located.

Any Stake holder or the public can also have a glimpse of the type of application (CTO/CTE) date of submission of application, and the present application status. If the application has been approved in the meantime, the stakeholder can see and down load the approved date and the approved /consent order. This mobile app will make the consent management system quicker and transparent. It will also improve public accountability of the system for operationalization of the industries.

Senior Scientist OSPCB Sri P. K. Prusty, Director Environment Sri Devi Datta Biswal along with other senior members and technical experts were present in the event.
