Govt prepares Action Plan for Odisha Vision Document – 2036

While the State on its path for preparing the Odisha Vision Document-2036, steps have been initiated for preparing perspective action plans to transform the visions to actions at ground level.

Keeping in view 100 year completion of State formation, State Government have put on table the deliberations for formulation of the Vision Document for 2036. This was deliberated in a high level meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi in Secretariat conference hall on Monday.

The experts from the Institute of Economic Growth, New Delhi, Center of Excellence in Finance & Taxes Bhubaneswar along with the Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments deliberated on economic models to be followed in the realization of the Vision-2036.

Taking into consideration the past growth trends of the State, experts made projections about GSDP, Investment and Employment scales in 2036. Action models for achieving the targeted goals like ‘shared prosperity’, ‘equitable distributions of the developmental outcomes’, ‘social justice’, ‘occupational dignity’ and ‘inclusive growth’ were also deliberated in the meeting.

It was decided in the meeting that a sub-committee would be formed under the Chairmanship of Principal Secretary Finance to look into the technical details of these models and workout a realistic model to be adopted in Odisha.
