Grief in Biramitrapur over death of 7 Youths in Road Mishap

Sundargarh-AccidentIn a tragic incident, seven youths of Biramitrapur area of Sundargarh district were killed  when a Scorpio in which they were travelling towards Lucknow, fell into Sarjana river in Jharkhand in the wee hours of Friday. The driver who was driving the vehicle has been discharged from Khunti hospital on  Friday afternoon and brought to Rourkela for further treatment.

Eight youths, all are resident of Biramitrapur were going towards Lucknow by a Scorpio. According to sources, a youth identified as Kedar Priyadarshi Barik (28), a resident of  Jagda  area and founder of Sundargarh Yuva Sena who owns the Scorpio alongwith seven other youths had left Biramitrapur on Thursday night.

Kedar Priyadarshi Barik was driving his Scorpio. At about 4 AM while driving the vehicle, Kedar Priyadarshi noticed a dumper coming from front on the bridge of  Sarjna river under Khunti police station in Jharkhand. While he just took left turn to allow the dumper to pass, he reportedly lost control of the vehicle which overturned and fell into Sarjana river in Jharkhand  killing seven persons on the spot.

Biramitrapur-MishapKedar Priyadarshi who was driving the vehicle, was critically injured. After getting information, Khunti Superintendent of  Police Anish Gupta alongwith other police officials of Khunti rushed to the spot and and brought out the bodies of the deceased from the vehicle and admitted critically injured Kedar Priyadarshi in Khunti Govt. hospital in an unconscious state. The seven deceased youths have been identified as Pintu Sharma, Sushil Pandey, Vickey Singh, Sonu Sahu, Ranjit Jha, Debansa Ray & Manish Pandey. According to sources, all these seven deceased are from Hindu Sena.

After heating about the tragic incident, several people from Bajrang Dal, Hindu Sena & Viswa Hindu Parisad have gone to Khunti to bring the bodies of seven deceased. According to sources, Kedar Priyadarshi who was driving the Scorpio, has regained consciousness and he is brought to Rourkela for treatment.

According to Brahmani Tarang police, on Thursday morning, Vicky Singh had lodged complaint in Brahamani Tarang police station about missing of her sister on Wednesday. Brahmani Tarang police had registered a case. According to sources, these eight youths including Vicky Singh were going to Lucknow to search for Vicky Singh’s sister.
