Health Dpt seeks protection of Doctors, urges to set up Police Outpost at all Hospitals

The Health Secretary of Odisha Arti Ahuja on Friday requsted the Home Department to establish police outposts at all government hospitals across the State to provide 24 hour safety and security to doctors and other medical staff.

In this regard Health Secretary has written letter to Home Secretary Asit Tripathy.

Notably, a Medicine Specialist Dr Bharat Samal in Balasore district headquarter hospital was brutally attacked by relatives of a patient by iron rod. Later, he was admitted to ICU.
