Health Officials find Difficulties to combat Diarrhea in Kalahandi

As many as 27 persons of Kerpai and Talanagi panchayats in Kalahandi district lost their lives in the last two months due to an out break of Diarrhea in the region.

According to sources, a medical team from the district headquarters has visited the affected places to provide treatment and medicines to the affected people. They also collected blood samples for examination. Out of the blood samples collected, only two malaria positive cases are found.

The authorities are facing lot of difficulties to provide healthcare facilities in these two areas.

The exact cause of the deaths is yet to be ascertained, said Braja Kishore Brahma Kalahandi Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO).
