Healthcare Services hit due to Private Hospitals’ cease-work stir in Odisha

ONI Bureau:  Healthcare services at many parts of Odisha affected today as the doctors joined hands together with 24-hour cease-work stir call given by the All Odisha Private Medical Establishment Forum (AOPMEF) demanding an amendment to the Odisha Clinical Establishment Act, 1990.

As per report as many as 2,000 private clinics, diagnostic centres, clinics, pathology labs, x-ray units and hospitals across the State have remained closed due to the strike started from 6 am on Friday.

Though the Private hospitals authorities are continuing the treatments of existing patients, hospitals have denied admitting new patients.
