Heat wave in Odisha, Titlagarh hottest place in India at 47.5 deg C

heat waveTitlagarh in Bolangir district, Odisha was on Friday recorded at 47.5 degrees Celsius. It was marked as hottest place in the country with maximum temperature.

Other places with high mercury level and severe heat wave conditions are Sonepur, Sundergarh, Bolangir, Angul, Sambalpur, Hirakud, Bhawanipatna and Jharsuguda. Minimum temperature in this areas are 45 deg C and more.

According to the office of the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), the number of deaths allegedly due to sunstroke increased to 73 in Odisha and 46 more cases are under examination. The heat wave likely to continue till  April 24.
