Heavy Rain Creates Flood-like situation in Odisha, These Districts Are Affected
Continuous spell of rain has led to flood-like situation in several districts of Odisha.
As per reports, low lying areas have become inundated in several districts while farmlands have also got submerged.
Heavy rain is likely to continue in Odisha, creating flood fear in the state.
These are the latest updates from the affected districts –
- Balasore – Jalaka river in the district is flowing at 6.43 metres, above the danger level of 5.5metre. Among the affected blocks is Basta block in the district.
- Sundargarh – Heavy rainfall in Sundargarh triggered flash floods which washed away a bridge on National Highway 215 in Koira block.
- Keonjhar – Water level in Baitarani river is flowing above danger mark due to heavy rainfall.
- Cuttack – Mahanadi floodwater has disrupted communication in Banki block of Cuttack district.
