Heavy Rainfall to lash parts of Odisha in next 24-hours

Heavy rains continued to disrupt normal life in most parts of Odisha during last 24 hours under the influence of a low pressure over Bay of Bengal.

The condition of people in some major cities across the State is miserable. According to the State Meteorological Office, the low pressure is active and its impact will be seen for the next 24 hours bringing about heavy rains in various parts.

The astounding rainfall of 240mm in the last 24 hours has been recorded from the Sambalpur city. Rain water has entered into houses in the low lying areas.

The water level of all rivers and tributaries are on the rise due to incessant heavy rains since yesterday.
