Heavy rains lash Coastal Odisha, to continue till Nov 17
Insight Bureau: Heavy rains triggered by the low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, lashed Coastal and South Odisha since last evening. Heavy to heavier rains are expected in the next few hours.
The rains will continue for other couple of days and may recede by November 17. Odisha will witness cold wave conditions after 19th November, the regional Met office said.
So far, Puri, Cuttack, Balesore, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Nayagarh have witnessed more rain. The same districts will witness heavy rains for the next two days.
Farmers are worried about their Kharif paddy crops because of the nonseasonal rains.
