Higher Education Dept Scholarship to cover 24,544 Students

For encouragement to meritorious students of Odisha who are pursuing higher studies in the field of general as well as technical /professional education, different scholarships are awarded by the Higher Education Department to them for years.

These scholarships are granted to the students on “merit-cum-means” basis irrespective of caste and creed. In view of simplification of the process the Higher Education Department has launched a new website www.medhabruti.org through which the students can get detail information and make registration of their names.

For the general students the Jr. Merit (+2 Course), Sr. Merit (+3 course) and PG merit scholarships are available. Similarly Engineering/MBBS/BDS & students of other professional courses can also apply for availing this opportunity as per the norms. Special girls’ merit scholarship for Technical and Professional courses will also be awarded to girls students. Total 24, 544 students will be benefited by this scheme.
