Bhubaneswar, Sep 16: Odisha’s Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda said that the Hindi edition of Odia ‘Sarala Mahabharat’ will be released at India International Centre in Delhi on September 17.
Odisha Sahitya Akademy took initiative to translate ‘Sarala Mahabharat,’ penned by Adikabi Sarala Das, Panda said. He said that the edition in Hindi would give recognition to Odia culture and Odia literature in India.
The book will be released on the occasion followed by a by a seminar on ‘Subaltern Voice in Contemporary Indian Fiction’. Dr Biswanath Prasad Tiwari, president of Central Sahitya Akademy, Delhi, renowned academicians, critics and celebrated scholars would grace the programme, he added.
