Hindol embraces Baijayant Panda with #Heijau

ONI Bureau: After Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and New Delhi, it was the turn of Hindol in Dhenkanal district to host former MP Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda on his pet event #Heijau Tea gathering.

The event was announced by Jay Panda yesterday on social media leading to people of Hindol and adjoining areas throng the venue. It was 11:45 AM when he arrived in Hindol and over 2,000 people were present to welcome him.

He was welcomed with traditional Paika dance and music. The crowd at the Tea Stall near Satmile Chowk was very impressive as compared to his previous #Heijau events. It was youth power that ruled at the event. They took him from the chopper landing venue to the Tea Stall in a huge bike rally.

Jay Panda interacted with young kids, women and college students who also clicked selfie with him. Shailendra Narayan Singhdeo from the royal family of Hindol, Shailndra Deb from royal family of Talcher, Social Activist Ratikanta Gadanayak, former MLA candidate Trinath Behera, Dhenkanal Municipality Vice Chairperson Sumitra Bhoi, Dhenkanal Municipality Councilor Subrat Nanda, former Chairman of Gondia Block Malay Singh, youth leader Sambit Nanda and many Panchayat Samiti members of Dhenkanal Sadar and Gondia block were present at the occasion.

While thanking everyone for the warmth and affection showered on him, Baijayant Panda tweeted,

“The #Heijau at Hindol in Dhenkanal, Odisha was a huge success! As before, this 4th of my informal get-togethers over tea was an impromptu gathering, announced via social media only yesterday. I’ll keep doing this around Odisha & a few other places outside. Do come to 1 near you??”

It would be interesting to see when and where Mr. Jay Panda is going to hold his next #Heijau. There has been a huge demand from his fans and followers across the state for such events in their respective areas.
