Hindol Violence: BJP moves Election Commission

ONI Bureau: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) delegation led by party’s state Vice President Sameer Mohanty met the State Election Commissioner today, seeking free and fair elections in Hindol NAC in Dhenkanal district that would go to polls on April 3.

The BJP delegation submitted a memorandum to the SEC, claiming that BJP workers were assaulted by BJD supporters in Hindol last night. BJP worker Prashant Panda was injured and admitted to hospital.

The delegation also included senior leaders Dilip Mohanty, Jagannath Pradhan and Lekhashree Samantasinghar, Shishir Gamang.
