Hirakud Dam to release Rain Water on August 5

The Hirakud Dam will start releasing rainwater of this year on August 5. The water would be released through seven gates between 10 am to 12.30 pm. on Friday.

It is to be noted that, the maximum water holding capacity of the reservoir is 630 feet and the water level of the dam reached at 611.47 feet yesterday.

In this regard, the authorities and people of Mahanadi river belt have been advised to remain alert.
