Hockey World Cup: Opening Ceremony Tickets to be sold Online from Nov 20

ONI Bureau: The Hockey India announced that tickets for the opening ceremony of Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018 will be sold online from November 20. Tickets will be available at http://ticketgenie.in/event/hwc-opening-ceremony from November 20 at 12:00 PM.

The opening ceremony will be held at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on November 27, while World Cup Celebrations will be held at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on November 28. Music maestro A.R. Rahman and Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan will perform at the events.

The online redemption of tickets for the opening ceremony at Kalinga Stadium, will be done from November 22 at Gate No. 4 of the Kalinga Athletics Stadium along with other locations in Bhubaneswar. However, no dates have been announced for online redemption of tickets for the World Cup celebrations event to be held at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.

The Hockey India decided to go online to sell the tickets after fans resorted to vandalism at Kalinga Stadium on November 15 after failing to get the tickets.
