A major blast occurred at an Indian Oil petrol pump located near Raj Bhawan in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. At least nine persons have been injured in the blast.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced free treatment for the injured persons. Those injured in the petrol pump blast are being treated at Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar and SCB Hospital in Cuttack.
The incident occurred when one of the two CNG tanks exploded. The impact was so severe that it blew away the vehicles parked on the road.
The Commissionerate police has lodged a suo-moto case. Investigation is still underway.
