India successfully conducts night trial of Prithvi-II Missile off Odisha Coast

ONI Bureau:  India successfully conducted the first night trial of nuclear-capable medium range surface to surface Missile Prithvi-II from a defence facility off the Odisha coast at about 8.30 p.m on Wednesday.

The Missile was successfully flight tested from the launch complex 3 of the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur. Earlier the Prithvi II missile was successfully test fired on February 7 off the Odisha coast.

Monitored by the scientists of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Prithvi-II missile is capable of carrying 500 to 1,000 kg of warheads with a strike range of 350 km.
