Indian Air Force chopper salutes the KIMS COVID-19 hospital

Amid the widespread distress across India due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, the Indian Armed had chosen to salute and show solidarity to the corona warriors in India on Sunday.

On 1st May, General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), in brief with the tri-services chiefs, declared that the Indian Army, the Indian Air Force (IAF), and the Indian Navy would organise multiple events that will underline the nation’s support towards the COVID-19 warriors.

In Odisha, Bhubaneswar, the Indian Air Force chopper showers flower petals on KIMS COVID hospital in Bhubaneswar to express gratitude towards medical professionals fighting. The exclusive Covid hospital in KIMS is equipped with 500 beds, including 42 critical beds. The KIMS authorities had pursued the “largest COVID-19 hospital” project at breakneck speed, readying infrastructure in less than a week.
