IndiGo, GoAir cancel 65 Flights from Bhubaneswar and other Cities; flyers hit

ONI Bureau:  Low-cost carrier IndiGo and GoAir cancelled 65 flights on Tuesday, a day after the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) grounded 11 A320 Neo aircraft with faulty engines after a mid-air scare.

While the Gurugram-based IndiGo cancelled 47 of its 1,000-odd flights per day, Wadia Group-promoted GoAir said it had cancelled 18 flights.

The flights that have been cancelled are from Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Patna, Amritsar, Srinagar and Guwahati, among others.

Hundreds of passengers were stranded across the country as flights were cancelled by IndiGo and GoAir following the grounding of 11 planes. As per report, only one IndiGo flight-No 701 was grounded in Bhubaneswar.
