IOCL seeks CBI inquiry into gangster Tito’s link with Petrol Pumps
ONI Bureau: The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) on Wednesday sought a CBI inquiry into the ownership of two petrol pumps by gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito in Kendrapara and Paradip.
The IOCL said both the petrol pumps were seen violation of guidelines. In view of serious irregularities in allotment and seriousness of the issue involved, the ministry with the approval of the petroleum minister has advised the IOCL to refer the matter to the CBI, the IOCL said.
Meantime, the Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch yesterday arrested four associates of Tito those were used to help Tito in carrying out illegal activities such as extortion, cattle trafficking and tender fixing.
