Itishree Murder Case: CBI Team arrives in Rayagada

CBI team comprising seven-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrived in Rayagada to prove the sensational Itishree Pradhan murder case. The team will be headed by Inspector RD Sharma.

Itishree Pradhan, a lady Teacher at Tikiri Primary School in Rayagada district, was set ablaze by some miscreants in 2013. She sustained severe burn injuries and later succumbed at a private hospital in Visakhapatnam (Vizag). It is to be noted that the Supreme Court, in its order on January 20, asked the CBI to probe the incident and submit a report within two months.

The concerned doctor of Vishakhapatnam based government hospital on February 6 submitted the post mortem report before the District Sessions Court, Raygada and affirmed that the incident was a clear case of homicide. As per the post mortem report, Itishree was murdered.

The SIT team will start its investigation into the murder case, two official of the team arrived in Bhubaneswar. And the duo officers are scheduled to meet the state Crime Branch officials today and tomorrow would leave to Rayagada to join the rest of the investigating team members.
