Itishree Murder: CBI declares Rs 2 lakh Cash Prize for info about Perpetrator

itishree pradhanBhubaneswar, Mar 14: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today announced a hefty cash prize of Rs 2 lakh for information on real culprit in Itishree Pradhan murder case. Former Tikiri teacher Pradhan was killed under mysterious conditions three years back on October 27, 2013.

CBI issued posters carrying cash reward to get information about the main culprit in the murder case.

As per the direction from the Supreme Court, the central probe agency started its investigation into the case in January 2015. The 28-year old lady teacher was set ablaze on Oct 27 and she succumbed to the burn injuries at private hospital in Vishakhapatnam. The doctors of the hospital confirmed that she was murdered in the autopsy report.

She was working as contractual teacher in the upper primary schools at Tikiri in Rayagada district. She had filed complaint against Netranadan Dandasena, Inspector of School, for seeking sexual favour and exploiting her. As per reports, she was pressured to withdraw FIR.
