Iyer Case: Odisha Police asks Chitra Athwani to appear in 14 Days

The Commissionerate Police in Odisha has issued summons to Chitra Athwani to appear before it in 14 days for interrogation in connection with her alleged links with PK Iyer, Vice Chairman of Deccan Chronicle Group, who was hiding at Hotel Trident in Bhubaneswar by booking a room in her name.

The summons have been sent to Chitra at her Darbhanga (Bihar) address. During the course of investigation, it was revealed that Chitra stayed at Hotel Trident with Iyer for some time. And, even after her departure, Iyer was staying in the room booked in her name.

Chitra Athwani is an Air Hostess by profession. The CBI is examining her association with PK Iyer, who is involved in a Rs 357 crore bank fraud.
