Jagamohan repair: Odisha CM writes letter to PM Modi, seeks intervention

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his intervention in repair of Jagmohan of Jagannath temple, Puri.

In his letter, Chief Minister requested modi to instruct Director General (DG) of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to reconsider its decision.

Earlier, the Law minister, Arun Kumar Sahoo has called a core committee meeting, following the rejection of a proposal for repairing of the Jagamohana at Srimandir.

Notably, the Director General had opposed the State government’s attempt for installing stainless steel frame inside Jagmohana.
